The Council held a meeting on 30 July 2024.

During this meeting, the Council talked about disability indicators.

Disability indicators are types of information about disability in the Data Asset.

For example:

  • how many people have a disability
  • what disabilities people have.

The Council talked about the advice they heard from experts about disability indicators.

They also talked about advice from the Disability Indicators Panel.

A panel is a group of people that talk about important ideas.

The Disability Indicators Panel:

The first disability indicators the Council looked at were about people with disability who receive government payments or services.

The Council agreed for these disability indicators to be part of the Data Asset.

The Council also agreed that the Data Asset will need to include other people with disability in the future.

The Council talked about creating accessible information that will:

  • be on the Data Asset website.
