What the Council talked about
The National Disability Data Asset Council is a group of people who make sure the Data Asset is being used in the right way. In this document, we call this group the Council. |

The Council held a meeting on 19 August 2024. |

During the meeting, the Council talked about the work they will finish by the end of 2025. |
|||
They also agreed that their first yearly report will cover 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. |
Disability indicators
The Council is thinking about which disability indicators the Data Asset should include. |

Disability indicators are types of information about disability in the Data Asset. |

An example of a disability indicator is how many people have a disability. |

Another example of a disability indicator is what types of disabilities people have. |
|
It is important to have disability indicators that will give researchers information they can use. |
|
The Council is working with a group called the Disability Indicators Panel to decide which disability indicators they should include. |

During the meeting, the Council agreed to give the Disability Indicators Panel more time to do their work. |

The Disability Indicators Panel will now run until February 2025. |
