What the Council talked about

The National Disability Data Asset Council is a group of people who make sure the Data Asset is being used in the right way.

In this document, we call this group the Council.

The Council had a meeting on 18 February 2025. 

Plans for 2025

The Council agreed to a plan about how to work with the disability community in 2025.

The Council also agreed to a plan to make the disability indicators better.

Disability indicators are types of information about disability in the Data Asset.

For example, disability indicators include:

  • how many people with disability use different services – like health services

  • what types of disabilities people have.

The plan will change the name of disability indicators to disability flags.

Research projects in 2025

The Council talked about some research projects that the Australian Government will do in 2025.

New Panels

The Council talked about what their 2 new Panels will do.

A Panel is a group of people that talk about important ideas.

The 2 new Panels are:
