What is our Plan?

A person holding a clipboard, with Plan written on it. On the Plan is a picture of a fist with a circle and line through it.

We wrote the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032.

We call it our Plan.

There are three icons, the first is of a closed fist, the second is of a frightened person, the third is of someone standing over a frightened person.

Violence includes when someone:

  • hurts you
  • scares you
  • controls you.

Three icons, the first is of a closed fist, the second is of a crying face, the third is of a credit card with a money symbol.

There are different types of violence.

We explain them more in our Plan.

A group of women with their arms crossed.

Many women experience violence at some point in their lives.

A girl looking sad.

Many children also experience violence when it happens to:

  • them
  • people around them.

A map of Australia. On it is a fist, with a circle and a line through it.

We want to end violence against women and children in Australia.

An icon of a closed fist. There is a person with their hand raised saying stop.

We need everyone in Australia to help us stop violence:

  • before it starts
  • from getting worse or happening again.

A person supporting someone else, who looks upset.

We also need everyone in Australia to help us support women and children:

  • who experience violence
  • to recover and heal after violence.

A man with his arm around a boy, they are both smiling and there is a tick above them.

It’s also important to include men and boys in our work.
