How will we keep information safe?

A government building and a money icon.

No one will be able to use the data to make decisions about a person’s government funding.

Funding is money to pay for supports and services.

A money icon and a computer with a tick and a cross on the screen.

Computers won’t be able to use the data to make decisions about funding instead of people.

A folder with an information icon on it and a safety icon.

We will make sure we protect people’s personal information.

A data icon and an ID card with a cross on it.

To do this we will take personal information out of the data.

For example, people’s names.

An icon of a person with a question mark on them.

This means no one can find out:

  • who people are
  • how to contact them.

A person using a computer and a safety icon.

We will also protect:

  • who can find and use the data
  • how they can use the data.

A person holding a document with 'Rules' written on it.

As part of this, we will create rules so everyone:

  • knows how people can use the data
  • is comfortable with how people can use it.

A document that has 'Rules' written on it and a person pointing at themsevles.

We will make sure people follow these rules when they use the data.

We will work with people chosen by the disability community to do this.
